These are the latest additions to the animal population on our property. These little ladies are only 15 weeks old and as of Thursday afternoon we realized that 2 of them are already laying. One started laying last week (which was a big surprise) but when we got one egg in the morning and one in the afternoon on Thursday we knew that we must have 2 layers out there. Chickens, according to the books, can lay every 25 hours. We are delighted to have these chickens and eggcited to be getting eggs!

Oh, they're lovely. What fun to be getting your own fresh eggs? What colour eggs do those chickens lay? I think you said you wanted brown eggs?
